NSF Awards FIU Nearly Half a Million Dollars for ‘Remote-Controlled Brain’ Research

Controlling neurons remotely might be a way of treating the millions of people who suffer from neurodegenerative diseases. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Florida International University (FIU) $450,000 to research wirelessly controlled nanotransducers that repair the neural circuitry in the brain.
