About FRC

The Florida Research Consortium (FRC) is a strategic partnership of education, business and government formed specifically to advocate for knowledge-based economic development in Florida. Founded in 2001, FRC works to increase awareness of the cutting-edge research that is under way throughout the state of Florida and to enhance the diversity and strength of Florida’s innovation economy through the commercialization of that research.

FRC is governed by a volunteer board of representatives from public and private research universities, private research institutes, Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-sized businesses, technology startups, business incubators, and state government who, working collaboratively, direct a small staff charged with implementing the consortium’s vision and values.
